Hi everybody! I'm looking for an in-home private duty nurse to fill a position helping me right away.
I'm a 36-year-old male C1 quadriplegic, on a ventilator and type I diabetic.
I live at home and I'm looking for people to help keep me living at home and independent.
I am looking to fill a variety of shifts including full-time, part-time and on-call. Flexibility is a bonus.
Some tasks that I need help with are:
Ventilator operation and management
Cough assist and trach suctioning
Diabetes care
Medication administration and feeding via G-tube
Dressing changes
Pressure ulcer prevention and management
Bowel Program
Range of motion and stretching
Turning and re-positioning
Single person transfer from bed to wheelchair or vice versa (with a ceiling lift)
Personal hygiene
A little about me:
In 2009, I had a mountain biking accident that left me a C1 quadriplegic.
I like to watch movies, I listen to music, and I love good food. I spend time on the computer doing work, keeping in contact with friends and family, or playing games. When the weather is nice I like to spend time outside. I use a power wheelchair to get around. I participate in monthly spinal cord injury support groups, get together with friends and go to the occasional medical appointments.
I am authorized for 24/7 care through DSHS. Please be advised that you must have a current RN/LPN license in the state of Washington. Non-nurse caregivers will be turned away immediately.
If interested at all please get a hold of me.
Thanks,
Jesse
