Asphalt Laborer
Job Duties include (but not limited to):
Overview
Shoveling, sweeping, and raking
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Use of a slurry vacuum
Use machinery to break up and cut asphalt.
Compacting Asphalt.
An equipment operator is desirable but not required
Willing to learn and improve within the paving profession.
Cement Finisher
Job Duties include (but not limited to):
Overview
Bolt, nail, align, block under forms
Create and set forms for sidewalks, curb and gutter, and cement flat work. Mastery of using hand floats, trowels, and other equipment
Check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement material
Ability to grade and create forms to establish proper slope
Direct placement of concrete into forms or surfaces
Level the top surface of freshly poured concrete on floors according to grade and depth specifications. You will develop smooth finishes for driveways, approaches, sidewalk panels, patios, pathways, curbs, and gutters.
Mold expansion joints and edges, using edging tools, jointers, and straightedge.
