Full-time Sales Associate needed in our Food Market.

This might be the job for you! Bay Hay and Feed is a 40-year-old, family-owned general store with farm, garden, clothing, gift, and market departments. Bay Hay is community oriented and has great staff and customers. We are open 7 days a week from 9 am - 5.00 pm Monday through Saturday and 10 am - 5 pm on Sunday.
Job description:
Most importantly help customers, answer the phone, work out in the field to help customers.
Stock food market, price inventory, and receive vendor orders.
Learn to place vendor orders. Once trained, maintain inventory by regularly building and placing orders
Identify potential new local vendors, watch for new and exciting products to introduce to the market.
Ensure all inventory is correctly priced and labeled. Track best-by dates.
Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory in our Point of Sales program.
Keep the market clean and presentable at all times.
Requirements:
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Organized and detail oriented.
Desire to proactively learn the ins and outs of each of our products and be able to share this knowledge with our customers.
Passion for food with an interest in local and organic products.
Comfortable using computers and learning new software.
Ability to lift up to 40lb.
Minimum age requirement is 21 years old
Positive outgoing personality.
Strong customer service experience.
Willing to work 5 days a week including 2 weekend days.
