Our client is a stable and growing mid-sized company on Whidbey Island in search of an Accounting Manager. Working with a CFO and managing a mid-sized team, this person will focus on leading and developing their team while contributing to GL Accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and more.
Responsibilities
Overseeing monthly reconciling of GL accounts, close and preparing financial statements.
Leading and managing the annual capital budgeting process and preparing monthly budget variance analyses and financial reports for management review.
Own the work order process and assist project managers with estimates of completion.
Other Accounting duties include; maintaining fixed assets, cash management, processing payroll.
Assisting with the annual audit process.
Developing, implementing, and updating accounting policies and procedures to reflect best practices and regulatory changes as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/ or finance .
Minimum eight years’ diverse accounting experience, with at least four years in a supervisory role.
Proficiency in advanced ERP/accounting platforms, such as Microsoft Dynamics, Sage Intacct, or similar.
Microsoft Excel (experience with pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis).
