Do you love working outdoors, caring for facilities, and making a difference in a beautiful camp and retreat setting? The Samish Island Camp and Retreat Center (SICRC), part of Community of Christ, is looking for a Grounds and Facilities Manager to join our team!
What You’ll Do
As Grounds and Facilities Manager, you’ll keep our buildings, equipment, and outdoor spaces safe, clean, and welcoming for campers, guests, and community groups. This includes:
Maintaining lawns, forest areas, trails, and gardens.
Repairing and maintaining buildings, utilities, and furnishings.
Keeping equipment and tools in good working order.
Coordinating repairs, projects, and volunteer work days.
Supporting camp operations before, during, and after events.
Helping ensure safety, security, and compliance with health standards.
What We’re Looking For
Experience in facilities or property maintenance (we’ll train the right candidate).
Skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, landscaping, or general repairs.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Washington State Driver’s License and Food Handler’s Card required.
Ability to be on-site within 30 minutes for emergencies.
Bonus points if you have:
Leadership experience with staff or volunteers.
Prior work in camp, retreat, or hospitality settings.
A passion for environmental sustainability.
