Overview

Independent Shop Specializing in Under-car, Brake, Suspension and Alignments. Searching for Advanced Level Certified Automotive Technician with advancement opportunities to become LEAD/ FORMAN 5-10 years experience preferred. Compensation $30-$60 per hour. Hourly.

Automotive Technician Top pay for certified and experienced techs With leader ship and strong written and communication skills.

This is an experience upper level position. Where STRONG diagnostic and heavy duty ARE required. The right candidate with significant experience, would be required to perform all aspect of passenger automobile repair. At minimum Incumbent should posses the ability to work independently with mid level work level such as brakes, belts, hoses, batteries, LOF or all fluid services, safety inspections, steering and suspension work, timing belts & chains, head gaskets or further heavy engine repair. Advanced diagnostics and accuracy a must. THIS IS NOT A TRAINING POSITION. Additional Responsibilities and qualifications listed below.

TECHNICIAN REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL LEVELS:

1. Must have drivers license

2. Must have own means of transportation

3. Must provide and have all tools required to do the jobs assigned. This includes tool box or cart large enough to house the necessary items you store.

4. Certifications or proven work experience required with the ability to obtain certification within 90 days of employment. TOP PAY FOR TOP TECHS! Take control of your pay check with base hourly pay and productivity bonus or come full force flat rate with a 25 hour hourly week guarantee Regardless if hours produced are less.

Responsibilities and duties

Technical repairs: Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, and computer system issues on various vehicles.

Leadership: Train and guide other technicians in performing their duties.

Quality assurance: Inspect work performed by other mechanics to ensure it meets shop standards.

Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance like oil changes, tire rotations, and brake adjustments.

Diagnostics: Use diagnostic equipment to identify and troubleshoot vehicle problems.

Communication: Explain technical issues and repairs to non-mechanical individuals.

Record keeping: Accurately document all work performed.

Shop management: May involve ordering parts, writing work orders, and managing service schedules.

Qualifications

Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic, with a focus on all makes & models preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose issues accurately.

Experience in diesel engine repair is a plus.

Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team environment. Proficiency in using various automotive tools and equipment safely.

A valid driver's license is required; ASE certification is a plus but not mandatory.
