Job Summary

This is a temp-to-permanent position. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Mechanic Shop Manager with Large and Small Engine Mechanic / Technician experience to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical repair, with experience in servicing large and small engines and related equipment such as but not limited to the following: Work Trucks both diesel and gasoline, farm equipment, heavy equipment, small and large engine machinery. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and providing excellent service within our shop with our own equipment and machinery.

Responsibilities

-Manage shop inventory, maintenance plans and schedules, and budget

- Diagnose and repair work trucks both diesel and gasoline, farm equipment, heavy equipment, small and large engine machinery

- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance.

- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot mechanical issues.

- Read and interpret schematics for various engine systems to facilitate accurate repairs.

- Take in inquiries regarding repairs, maintenance services, and product features.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

- Collaborate with team members to enhance service efficiency

- Engage in ongoing training to stay updated on the latest repair techniques and industry standards.

Qualifications

- Experience as a mechanic or service technician preferred.

- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair, diesel engine repair, or equipment repair.

- Familiarity with generator repair and electrical systems is a plus.

- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment effectively.

- Experience with heavy lifting as required for various repair tasks.

- Basic welding skills are beneficial for certain repairs.

- Excellent skills with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and management

- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- A commitment to quality workmanship and attention to detail is essential.

Pay and Benefits
