Location: Beloit, WI Position Type: Full-Time, Monday-Friday Pay Rate: $50/hour School Year: 2024-2025 Orientation Dates: August 20th-22nd Responsibilities:
Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students’ varying needs and interests.
Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and parents to support student learning and development.
Conduct assessments to evaluate students’ progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
Provide direct instruction in academic, social, and life skills.
Maintain accurate and complete student records, and prepare reports on students and activities as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.
Participate in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in special education.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and success.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
Valid teaching license in Special Education.
Strong understanding of special education laws and regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and support staff.
Experience with various instructional strategies and assistive technologies.
