Robert E. Lee & Associates, Inc. is seeking a full-time, motivated Environmental Scientist to join our team. As an Environmental Scientist, you’ll engage in a variety of tasks that require analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to high-quality results. This role provides a great foundation for those looking to grow within the environmental field.

Primary Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will support environmental assessments and site investigations, working closely with project managers to address client and regulatory requirements. You’ll take part in both field and office tasks, assisting in data collection, analysis, and report preparation to ensure compliance and effective solutions. On any given day, you’ll:

- Conduct soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling following industry standards and best practices.

- Assist in preparing reports, including data interpretation and evaluation, and contribute to environmental project documentation.

- Participate in Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) in compliance with ASTM standards.

- Apply knowledge of Wisconsin Administrative Code Chapter NR700 for site investigation and environmental remediation.

Skills and Requirements:

- B.S. Degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Chemistry, or a related Natural Science field.

- 0-5 years of experience in the environmental field.

- Strong communication skills and a proactive work ethic.

- Effective problem-solving abilities with a commitment to high-quality work.

- Willingness to conduct field work, including travel as required; must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work in diverse outdoor environments.

- Familiarity with environmental sampling methods and NR700 regulations.

- Valid driver’s license and OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (or ability to obtain within three months of hire).
