We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Industrial Ammonia Technician to join our team. This position involves working with industrial refrigeration systems that use ammonia as a refrigerant. You will assist in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of ammonia-based systems in various industrial settings.
This role requires extensive travel, including assignments lasting up to three weeks at a time. All travel expenses are covered by the company.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of industrial ammonia refrigeration systems.
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance under supervision.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues related to ammonia systems.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
Document work performed and maintain accurate service records.
Communicate effectively with team members and clients during projects.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred).
Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn ammonia refrigeration systems.
Ability to work in industrial environments and follow strict safety protocols.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for extended periods (up to 3 weeks).
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
Knowledge of industrial refrigeration or HVAC systems.
EPA or RETA certifications (or willingness to obtain).
Experience with hand tools and mechanical systems.
