Part time or full time options available on our small dairy farm. We are looking for help with:
-Skidsteer work - moving snow, scraping cement cow yards, cleaning pens, moving hay
-Cleaning pens - daily cleaning of heifer pens using fork and dump cart
-Milking Cows - 2x milking of about 38 cows in a tie stall barn with 4 machines in a high-quality manner
-Feeding Milk cows - grain and hay is fed in barn through the day
-Feeding heifers & Dry Cows - feeding grain and stocking hay 2x
-Calves - feeding milk grain and water to about 10 calves and keeping them bedded in hutches
- Assist with daily cleaning inside barn - running out the gutter, scraping sweeping bedding
We are looking for help in some or all of these areas. Number of hours depends on what you have experience with. We can work with training an entry level person on some of these things or an experienced person could fit all the spots for a full-time option. There is some flexibility in the hours you work depending on what you'd do. We prefer someone 5 - 7 days per week.
We put the care of our cows at the highest priority and are looking for reliable individuals who enjoy working with animals and can work well on their own once trained. It's a small crew with both owners actively working in the barn daily.
