Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Payroll Coordinator in the Energy/Natural Resources industry, based in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin. As a Payroll Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting payroll administrators, ensuring data accuracy, maintaining confidentiality, and assisting with various payroll-related tasks. Responsibilities: Support payroll administrators in their day-to-day duties to ensure smooth operations Maintain and protect the confidentiality and integrity of all HRIS records, including employee information, position codes, and salary data Address and resolve payroll-related issues for employees, providing timely and effective assistance Assist in cross-training and implementation of best practices within the department Adhere to standard operating procedures to ensure ongoing internal control compliance Utilize a case management system for tracking inquiries and resolutions Collaborate with the data entry and payroll tax teams to ensure the accuracy of employee pay slips Assist with processing garnishments, liens, and child support payments Work proactively with the General Ledger Team to prevent account discrepancies Cooperate with the Payroll Tax Team to ensure timely and accurate payment of assignment incentives and allowances to International Assignees, Inbound Foreign Nationals, and domestic employees Audit weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing reports, checklists, and documentation Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation Process weekly leave of absence payment data from third-party vendors, ensuring accuracy Ensure successful completion of all payroll tax, garnishment, cash, and general ledger posting files following payroll processing. Requirements Demonstrated proficiency in Data Entry Comprehensive knowledge of Documentation and Reporting procedures Experience in Training staff members and implementing Procedures Strong understanding of Compliance requirements in the Energy/Natural Resources industry Prior experience in Payroll Coordination and management of Cash Activity Ability to provide Workstation Support and handle External Audit queries Proven skills in Auditing and managing General Ledger Experience in Implementation of Payroll Functions and partnering with multiple teams Ability to maintain Confidentiality of sensitive information Knowledge of Tax laws and regulations related to payroll Familiarity with Best Practices in payroll coordination Understanding of Internal Control mechanisms and Standard Operation Procedures Ability to Ensure Accuracy of payroll data Knowledge of various Salary Structures in the Energy/Natural Resources industry Experience in Case Management and use of HRIS System Ability to manage Liens related to payroll and employee benefits.
