Description We are seeking an Accountant to join our team based in Oregon, Wisconsin. This role is primarily focused on managing the accounting aspects of various real estate and property construction projects, particularly apartment community construction. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining accounting records, managing accounts payable and receivable, overseeing draw cycles, and performing reconciliations in adherence to modified GAAP and IRS methods. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Oversee the draw cycle setup, processing, and reconciliation for apartment community construction projects. Manage the details of accounts receivable and ensure the timely processing of accounts payable. Maintain accurate construction accounting records and reconcile job/project cost modules to the general ledger and accounts payable. Prepare, compile, and organize invoices for payment, verifying their accuracy and ensuring proper coding. Review invoice dates and payment schedules to ensure they conform to established procedures. Issue checks in accordance with the department schedule and monitor for Sales and Use Tax compliance. Maintain comprehensive records, including vendor details, lien waivers, and paid invoices. Perform monthly bank statement reconciliations and update variance and job cost reports. Assist with external audit requests and other duties as assigned by the Project Finance Manager. Monitor sourcing throughout the draw cycle and communicate with relevant departments. Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required. Experience with ADP - Financial Services is a must. Knowledge in Cl Programming is necessary. Familiarity with Concur software is expected. Expertise in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is essential. Proficient in performing various Accounting Functions. Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). Auditing skills are required. Ability to manage Balance Sheet Account. Knowledge of Construction Cost and Job Cost is crucial. Experience in the Construction Industry is beneficial. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary. No prior experience in a particular field is required. Please apply if you meet the other qualifications.
