Outage Coordinator Distribution Operations We Energies, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Outage Coordinator Distribution Operations in our Pewaukee, Wisconsin location.Job Summary The Outage Coordinator Distribution Operations is responsible for coordinating planned work (system maintenance and upgrades, customer requested outages, etc.) involving the We Energies Gas & Electric Distribution Systems. This is accomplished by managing planned work requests, coordinating the efforts between various work groups, and the resolution of field resource availability in order to match the GEDO System Operations Center abilities to best fulfill the needs of our residential, commercial, and industrial customers while maintaining the integrity of the We Energies Gas & Electric Distribution Systems. Additionally, this role is responsible for the daily maintenance of the tools and systems utilized to schedule service work for both gas and electric customers. This position is part of a rotation for on call/off hours response. Job Responsibilities
Perform notifications and rescheduling of planned work postponed due to weather or system loading concerns
Coordinates work activities with Customers and other Company work groups
Coordinates multiple projects to meet objectives and deadlines
Be the primary contact concerning:
Planned switching scheduling and coordination
Troubleshooter manpower requests
Administers the SPOC tool and switching calendars including posting and maintaining information on the Switching Calendars
Coordinates the daily resource requirements needed to meet workload and switching commitments
Updating and maintenance of the PCAD Availability Plans
Review requests for switching submitted by Customers and Company or Contractor work groups to assure completeness and accuracy
Prioritize work to support Customer and Company activities requiring Customer outages
Coordinate scheduling of Company activities to support other work groups
Consult engineering orders, area maps, one-line diagrams, Company and Customer substation files to validate accuracy of switching requests
Advise Company personnel of additional work if required
Schedule and coordinate resources
Provide training on the SPOC tool to both internal and external requestors
Represent System Operations in meetings with internal/external customers
Perform various duties as assigned (i.e., develop/improve and document process for outage scheduling or Customer communications.)
Assist CSO Gas in the maintenance of the Interactive Scheduler in PCAD directly affecting the Care Centers ability to schedule gas appointments
Minimum Experience Required Education: High School Diploma, HSED, or GEDExperience:
5 + years of experience related to electric distribution systems or relevant control center experience
Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Experience project managing, problem solving, and team building as well as the ability to successfully implement solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in providing service to our largest customers and possessing a working knowledge of a utilities core products is preferred.
Knowledge of technical drawings (e.g., facility maps, surveys) as well as a working knowledge of computer applications (Navigate, PCAD, Excel, Word, Outlook, and internal customer database programs) is desired.
