Job Title: QA EngineerJob DescriptionAs a QA Engineer, you will play a key role in our quality assurance processes. You will be responsible for overseeing PPAPs (60% of your role), auditing and scheduling (20% of your role), and managing any additional tasks as required (20% of your role). Your duties will include collaboration with Engineering PM and Quality Technicians to complete domestic and foreign distribution PPAP packages for engineering approval, understanding part drawings, and overseeing inspection methods. You will work directly with customers to ensure their expectations are met, manage corrective actions, strategize and implement continuous improvement initiatives, coordinate training of internal auditors, and assist in Supplier Quality Engineering opportunities. You will also serve as the QA representative in the New Products and New Product Review meetings.Hard Skills

Understanding of APQP

Ability to prepare and complete Part Submission Warrants (PSW), PFMEA, Control Plan, Material Certification, Dimensional inspection data

Understanding of part drawings

Understanding of inspection methods

Ability to complete internal and third party registrar audits

Experience with Quality lab Vision System

Ability to establish inspection and test methods

Experience with SPC opportunities

Ability to manage corrective actions

Soft Skills

Ability to work directly with customers and understand their expectations

Ability to communicate inspection results promptly

Ability to strategize, plan, and implement continuous improvement initiatives

Ability to lead cross-functional teams for root cause analysis

Ability to mentor and provide guidance for quality technicians
