Accountant Analyst

Job Title:Accountant AnalystJob Summary:This position will support the Missile Defense Agency in Huntsville, AL assisting DoD Accounting. The qualified candidate will be capable of assisting in the execution of the following tasks: Document, edit, and maintain end-to-end financial management process narratives Perform internal controls testing of controls documented in the process narratives Populate and maintain internal controls documentation repositories with results and supporting evidence Develop and track Corrective Action Plans related to internal controls testing Assist Government accountants with other accounting tasks as needed Troubleshoot and resolve issues in regard to day-to-day execution and beyond daily dutiesRequirements Qualifications/Skills: BS/BA in Accounting, business or related field Established knowledge of Excel and MS Office suite Understanding of general federal government Accounting processes Have a working knowledge of Accounting and IT audit methodologies, concepts, tools, and objectives Have a working knowledge of conducting risk assessment and internal controls testing Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Ability to work in a Team environment in-office and remotely Applicants selected must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance upon hire date; an active secret will be a plus, but not required.Desired Qualifications/Skills: Ability to multi-task; effectively manage time, and work under firm and quick turn-around deadlines Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Strong planning, problem solving, data collection, and analytical skillsVali is an Equal Opportunity Employer.For more information, or to apply now, you must go to the website below.
