Medical Billing Specialist

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Medical Billing Specialist in the healthcare industry based in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, you will be working extensively with patient accounts, processing behavioral health claims, and ensuring that the billing requirements are met. Responsibilities: Submit electronic and/or hardcopy behavioral health claims in a timely and accurate manner. Identify, research, and resolve unbilled encounters and escalate issues as needed. Address denied encounters within a reasonable timeframe. Manage unbilled Fee-For-Service (FFS) claims and escalate issues as required. Create reports of billed, paid, and unbilled claims for regular review. Stay informed about SBH, RBHA, and other payer billing requirements and procedures. Maintain accurate records of claims billing. Assist in maintaining claim billing process and procedure manuals. Utilize Accounting Software Systems, EHR System, IBM AS/400, Medisoft, and Microsoft Excel to manage Accounts Receivable (AR), Appeals, Billing Functions, Claim Administration, and Collection Processes. Requirements Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems for managing financial data Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) System for maintaining patient records Familiarity with IBM AS/400 for database management Proficient in Medisoft for managing healthcare billing Skilled in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and report generation Experience in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) operations Knowledge of Appeals processes in medical billing Familiarity with Billing Functions in a healthcare setting Experience in Claim Administration for effective management of healthcare claims Understanding of Collection Processes in healthcare billing Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
