Passion for art & teaching is a must. No previous formal art or mosaic experience required, professional training is provided. A lot of room for personal and professional growth. Work in a friendly creative environment, with a small and dedicated team.
You’ll be learning from a team of artists, designers and educators, working on creating mosaic masterpieces for communities here in SoCal. The position entails direct involvement in mosaic fabrication and teaching hands-on workshops for students of all ages at various school sites throughout San Diego County and beyond.
Non-paid mosaic training will be organized at the very beginning. Based on the performance and results of the training, a full-time position might be or might not be offered.

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION:
In-Studio - Flexible schedule - Hours may vary:
- Mosaic production
- Cutting glass, paper, various boards, and other art materials.
- Cleaning and organizing tools/supplies.
- A lot of different tools and hand operations are involved.
- Be able to lift up to 35lbs.
School Sites - Workshops with Students & Teachers - AM and/or PM schedule:
- Lead Hands-on Mosaic Workshops with students and teachers
- Workshop space set-up and clean up
- Gathering, grouping, and supervising students throughout workshops sessions.
- Mosaic training and teaching.
Some transportation can be arranged, but having your own transportation is preferred.
COMPENSATION:
In-studio hours: Starting at $21 an hour
Instructional hours: Starting at $25 an hour
