Description We are seeking a Senior Accountant in the San Diego area to join our team. The ideal candidate is meticulous, dynamic, has a strong understanding of accounting principles, and is capable of effectively managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously. As a Senior Accountant, you will ensure the integrity of accounting information by researching account issues for compliance, preparing quality, and timely financial reports.Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate, timely financial statements for monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.
Reconcile account balances and bank statements.
Coordinate with internal and external auditors for routine audits.
Maintain documentation for accounts payable and receivable, expenditures, revenues, and other related financial operations.
Contribute to the yearly budget planning process.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing reports, and advising the management on needed actions.
Keep up-to-date with accounting laws and regulations.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance. A CPA certification is a plus.
Proven experience as a Senior Accountant.
In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Familiarity with financial accounting statements and accounting software.
Strong attention to detail and quality focused.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
