Flour + Water Hospitality Group is searching for a warm, enthusiastic, team-oriented General Manager to lead the front of house of our acclaimed Flour+Water restaurant.

Flour+Water, located in San Francisco's Mission District, focuses on creative pasta dishes using local ingredients grown on small Bay Area farms. The menu is rooted in traditional Italian cooking, but highlight the bounty that surrounds us here in Northern California. Our family of businesses also includes Penny Roma, Flour+Water Pasta Shop, and Flour + Water Pizzeria, as well as Flour + Water Foods - our recently launched line of retail pasta. GM QUALIFICATIONS:

-Minimum five-years experience working in a fast paced full service restaurant, including two-years management experience

-Strong organizational and time management skills, along with impeccable attention to detail

-Evening and weekend shifts are required - please do not apply if you are not available nights and weekends!

- Experience with Northern Californian and/or Italian cuisine, and regularly changing menus

- Deep understanding of and interest in wine, especially natural winemaking techniques

- Excellent leadership skills with a warm and engaging personality

- A natural ability to provide and inspire genuine, refined and hospitable service

- Excellent communication and multitasking skills

- Strong computer skills including Word, Excel and G-Suite, as well as an understanding of and interest in social media

- Experience with Toast and Resy, or similar systems

- Ability to create and implement systems that work for both management and staff

- Follow through on assigned tasks, and ability to manage long term projects

- Passion for and understanding of the current local food scene

-Experience with inventory control, controlled food and labor costs, and a strong knowledge of restaurant financials

-Passion and understanding of the current local food scene

-A POSITIVE ATTITUDE and an outgoing personality that fits in with our team

Summary of Position (This reflects the general nature and level of responsibility; it is not intended to be all-inclusive):

The General Manager will work closely with the Director of Operations and Executive Chef to coordinate and oversee the planning, organization, training, and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives in guest experience and satisfaction, employee education and retention, sales, costs, profitability, food quality, cleanliness, organization and safety. Candidates for this position must be a strong team player who excels at both collaboration and independent execution of tasks and objectives.

The GM will regularly measure and evaluate service levels and standards using guest and employee feedback and develop plans for continuous improvement. They should uphold company culture by fostering a warm and positive work environment, and set a strong example of leadership through positive reinforcement. They should represent the company and its values both in and outside of the workplace.

The GM should be committed to learning and improving through independent study, and working with other company members to enforce the same. Continuous education and self-development will be of highest priority along with a commitment to coaching and developing the rest of the FOH restaurant staff.

Schedule: This is a full time, salaried, exempt position. The typical workweek will be five consecutive shifts, with regular evening and weekend commitments. Expected hours will be approximately 50-60 hours per week, and over 60 hours or more than five days per week on occasion. Please do not apply if you are unable to fulfill these requirements.

Compensation and Benefits: Salary starts in the range of $95k/year DOE, with quarterly bonus program, 10 days PTO/year, full medical, dental and vision coverage, EAP, basic life, employee stock option program, 401k, dining discounts and more.
