Dental Assistant Position

About the Role

We’re looking for a caring and dependable Dental Assistant to support our dentist/hygienist and help provide excellent care to our patients. This role is all about teamwork, patient comfort, and keeping the office running smoothly. We are a well-established office with a small caring team looking for a team player who is either ready to take a leadership DA/RDA role, or grow into the role through on the job training.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Support

Greet patients warmly and help them feel comfortable

Prepare treatment rooms and assist during procedures

Review health histories and answer patient questions

Chart treatments and ensure accurate clinical notes

Provide patient education and post-appointment instructions

Monitor patient flow and communicate patient needs to the team

Treatment Room & Sterilization

Keep treatment rooms clean, stocked, and organized

Sterilize instruments and disinfect rooms following OSHA guidelines

Maintain dental equipment, emergency kits, and lab cases

Follow office protocols for lab work and sterilization procedures

Records & Administrative Support

Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations

Prepare charts and X-rays for upcoming appointments

Track referrals, lab cases, and recall appointments

Inventory & Office Teamwork

Monitor and order dental supplies as needed

Help in other areas of the office when needed (phones, paperwork, supplies)

Participate in team meetings and promote a positive team environment

Qualifications

Education & Experience

High school diploma or equivalent

Dental assisting education or experience preferred

Knowledge of dental instruments and procedures

Compliance with state requirements (X-rays, OSHA, etc.)

Basic computer skills and familiarity with dental software. We use Eaglesoft, you don't have to know it but should be willing to learn.
