Key responsibilities:
Deburring and finishing: Using hand tools (knives, files) and power tools (grinders, sanders, tumblers) to remove burrs and smooth sharp edges on metal, plastic, or other parts.
Inspection: Visually inspecting parts for quality, defects, and acceptable finishes according to specifications.
Following instructions: Adhering to blueprints, work instructions, and quality standards to ensure parts are finished correctly.
Equipment operation and maintenance: Operating specialized deburring equipment and performing basic machine maintenance.
Work area maintenance: Keeping the work area clean, safe, and organized.
Documentation: Completing travelers and other required paperwork correctly.
Potential for additional tasks: Some roles may also include minor repairs, polishing, or working with specific materials like aluminum, steel, and titanium.
