West Valley Precision is a thriving precision manufacturing shop seeking a dedicated individual to support our operations through timely deliveries, pickups, and essential material management.
This is a combined role perfect for someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work, and is comfortable both on the road and managing shop materials.
Working Hours:
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday through Friday
Shift Time: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Overtime: Opportunities for overtime are available as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Driver Duties (Approx. 60-70% of time):
- Logistics & Delivery: Safely and punctually pick up raw materials (steel, aluminum, etc.) and deliver finished parts to local vendors and customers.
- Vehicle Management: Maintain cleanliness and perform routine checks on the shop vehicle (valid driver's license and clean driving record required).
- Documentation: Ensure all delivery and pickup paperwork is accurate and properly handled.
Shipping & Receiving Help (Approx. 30-40% of time):
- Receiving: Unload, inspect, count, and receive incoming raw materials and components, ensuring accurate inventory records.
- Shipping: Prepare, package, and label finished products for shipment, coordinating with delivery schedules.
- Organization: Organize, store, and maintain stock levels of materials and shipping supplies.
- Shop Support: Perform light cleaning, sweeping, and general organization to maintain a clean and safe workspace.
What We're Looking For
- Reliability: Excellent attendance and a strong work ethic are non-negotiable.
- Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or shipping/receiving environment is a plus, but we will train the right motivated individual.
- Physical Stamina: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
- Licensing: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
