Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Apprentice Carpenter. This role requires a hands-on approach, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards while maintaining a safe and productive job site.
1.Apprentices assist journeyman carpenters in various tasks such as measuring, cutting, and assembling materials, as well as erecting and dismantling scaffolding and other temporary structures.
2.Apprentices are responsible for handling and organizing materials, including loading and unloading materials from vehicles, carrying materials to the worksite, and ensuring materials are properly stored.
3.Apprentice carpenters assist in maintaining and organizing carpentry tools and equipment. This includes cleaning tools after use, sharpening blades, and ensuring tools are in good working condition.
4.Apprentice carpenters must adhere to safety regulations and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site. This involves wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), following safe work practices, and reporting any safety hazards to supervisors.
5.Effective communication with journeyman carpenters, supervisors, and other team members is essential.
6.Apprentice carpenters must ask questions, seek clarification when needed, and follow instructions accurately.
7.Ability to pay attention to detail and follow instructions accurately to ensure precise measurements and cuts.
Qualifications:
1.Candidate must be legal to work in the US and fluent in English
2.Must own basic tools.
3.Must own dependable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
4.Dependability and punctuality are crucial for showing up on time and completing assigned tasks efficiently.
5.Some experience in carpentry or construction is preferred, but not required.
6.Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced professionals.
7.Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
8.Basic knowledge of carpentry tools and materials is a plus.
9.Ability to work well in a team environment.
