Job Title:Sr. Specialist, Database Developer/Admin – ATLAS (TS/SCI) Job Code: 12614 Job Location: Colorado Springs, CO Job Description: As the premier provider of Space Domain Awareness mission solutions for the United States Space Force, L3Harris is seeking a Database Developer/Administrator to provide database development and administration support to the Advanced Tracking and Launch Analysis System (ATLAS), developing required capabilities and delivering those capabilities for integration and testing. Candidates should be team-focused and used to working in an agile team environment. The ideal candidate should have experience as a Database Developer/Administrator and other required skills below, current Agile software practices (Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps), knowledge of the Space Domain Awareness mission, and have a desire to learn new technologies as needed. This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO and requires a TS/SCI Security Clearance. Essential Functions:

Strong command of SQL

Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards

Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Set and maintain database standards

Performance tuning of database systems

Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors

Provide on-site support and monitoring of classified systems

On-call support availability

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

1 to 3 years of experience in database administration, information technology, database architecture, or a related field

Active Secret clearance but ability to attain a Top Secret/SCI clearance upon hire

Knowledgeable in the full software development lifecycle from requirements elicitation to deployment

Thorough understanding of software engineering principles and industry best practices, including Agile development

Ability to work in a team environment to potentially include duties in other technical disciplines

Preferred Additional Skills:

MCSE/MCSA certifications preferred

Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments

Extensive experience with database technologies (MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL Oracle, MongoDB)

Experience maintaining production-level systems a plus

Experience with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure) a plus

DoD 8570 compliant, CompTIA Security+ certification a plus

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $93,500 - $173,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
