Job Description This job description provides a basic guideline of the duties, responsibilities, and requirements of this position. As an employee of Pase Environmental, you play an integral role as one of our front-line workers. You will be out on job sites installing and maintaining erosion control products across various construction projects. As the day-to-day face of Pase Environmental, you represent our company directly in front of customers. We expect all employees to consistently act and work in a professional manner.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Arrive at the yard on time each day with a positive attitude, dressed in proper work attire, and
wearing the required personal protective equipment (PPE) as directed by the Safety Manager, your
direct manager, or Crew Leader, and as appropriate for current or future weather conditions.
Assist with loading materials, equipment, and tools in the morning, during jobsites, and at the end of
the workday.
Perform general labor duties such as sweeping, digging, operating backpack blowers, hammering, and
other tasks necessary to complete the job. Install a variety of erosion control products, including silt
fence, erosion control wattles, erosion control blankets, and others assigned.
Adhere to safe work practices as outlined in the Pase Environmental Safety Manual and in
compliance with OSHA standards.
Ensure trucks and equipment are ready for transport, including securing all toolboxes, tools,
materials, and equipment. Responsibility for tools and equipment is shared by the entire team.
Follow good housekeeping practices to prevent and eliminate safety hazards.
Immediately report unsafe conditions to your supervisor or crew leader.
Report any mechanical problems to your Crew Leader or Foreman without delay.
Comply with all policies and procedures implemented by Pase Environmental.
Be able to follow directions and comprehend instructions in English and/or Spanish.
Carry out all daily assignments as directed by your Crew Leader, Foreman, and/or Area Manager.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Possess the physical ability to perform manual labor and use a variety of hand tools (e.g., shovels,
rakes, picks, sledgehammers, staple guns, backpack blowers, etc.).
Must be reliable, honest, and hard-working.
Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Occasionally work on Saturdays as required.
Must follow directions and take instructions from supervisors, crew leaders, and/or foreman.
Perform primarily outdoor work in all weather conditions.
Handle multiple tasks at once prior to completion.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. safely.
Complete all other duties as assigned by the Crew Leader or Foreman.
Experience
0–1 year of general construction experience preferred.
Erosion control experience preferred but not required.

and punctuality. Report to work and return from breaks on time; provide advance notice when
absences are anticipated. Accept assignments without unnecessary complaints.

when unsure. Learn new skills at a pace consistent with job expectations.
Safety and Security: Follow recommended safety, security, and emergency procedures. All team
members must comply with OSHA standards and wear PPE at all times, including safety vests,
outerwear, glasses, and gloves.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Sitting: Limited to time spent in company vehicles traveling to/from job sites.
Standing/Walking: Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift.
Crouching (Bend at Knees): Required for handling heavy-duty tools and equipment.
Stooping (Bend at Waist): Frequent throughout the workday.
Lifting/Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Previous erosion control experience preferred but not required.
Ability to communicate effectively with the public and coworkers.
