Concrete Finisher/Foreman

We are a commercial concrete construction company, specializing in foundations, flatwork, structural concrete, etc We pride ourselves on quality craftsmanship, safety, and teamwork.

Responsibilities:

Surface Preparation: set forms , grade according to specifications and blueprints, check forms for proper alignment, depth, and slope, clean and prepare surfaces before placing concrete.

Placing Concrete: Direct the pouring of concrete into forms or onto surfaces, spread, level, and smooth concrete using tools such as rakes, shovels, and screeds, monitor concrete to ensure consistent quality and appropriate slump.

Finishing Work: Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete using floats, trowels, and edging tools, apply curing compounds, sealers, or surface treatments as required, create textures or patterns (broom, trowel, or decorative finishes), Cut expansion and control joints using saws or hand tools.

Repair and Maintenance: Patch and repair damaged concrete surfaces, grind, polish, or resurface existing concrete as directed.

Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Operate finishing machines, power trowels, vibrators, and other concrete tools safely, clean and maintain tools, machinery, and work areas after use.

Safety and Compliance: Follow all company and OSHA safety standards, wear proper PPE (gloves, boots, eye and ear protection, etc.), report hazards, unsafe conditions, or equipment issues promptly.

Teamwork and Communication: Work closely with project manager, laborers, and other trades, communicate progress and issues clearly with supervisors, assist in training and mentoring less experienced workers.

Supervise and coordinate daily activities of concrete crews

Requirements:

5+ years of commercial concrete experience (2+ years in a leadership role preferred)

Strong knowledge of formwork systems, rebar placement, and concrete finishing techniques

Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints

Valid driver’s license, clean motor vehicle record, and ability to pass drug testing and criminal background.

Bilingual English/Spanish

Valid work authorization documentation
