CARPENTER/ DOOR INSTALLER
compensation: 25.00+ an hour, MORE DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE.
Busy small business looking for a talented long-term carpenter.
Must be smart, savvy, energetic, customer service oriented and dependable, have reliable transportation every day and a working cell phone. Tools are not a must, but will be helpful.
We run a small business, this would be a great fit for someone with knowledge about installing doors, frames and hardware, self-motivated and can also work well with others.
Your time will be split between, installing doors, installing mill work, making deliveries, able to lift at least 50-80lbs., and additional duties related to the nature of carpentry.
You are responsible for your own transportation and will need a car to get to work and a mobile phone to communicate with the office.
This job is a full time position with overtime as needed.
Ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, highly-organized. We looking for someone trustworthy, with a positive 'can-do' attitude, a self-starter, and someone who follows direction VERY well. If you're not willing to roll your sleeves up and get dirty, DO NOT apply for this position.
Requirements:
- Good oral communication skill (multiple languages is a plus)
- Must know how to use basic carpentry tools
- Must have your own reliable transportation
- Function well in a structured environment
- Maintain industry and product knowledge
- Keep records, copies of projects up until completion
- Ability to work independently to complete tasks if needed
- Able to juggle multiple projects, meet deadlines and be goal oriented
- Develop new business opportunities
- Occasionally handle field logistics
- Travel required, inside and occasionally outside of Florida
- Spanish speaking is a plus
- Coordinate projects/tasks with other co-workers
- Knowledge to Drive a pickup truck
- Pass a drug test
- Clean history to pass a background check
- Clean Driver's license.
