The Company:

We are a nationwide fast paced and growing company specializing in complete exterior renovations of apartment communities.

The Position:

We are looking for someone to assist in leading our accounting Department. S/he will be responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory and cash management. S/he will reconcile all accounts on a regular basis, audit books as requested, analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner, clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep leadership informed of company's financial status. S/he will directly manage a team of 4-5 individuals. S/he will assist HR and operation teams to ensure implementation and enforcement of overall standards for accuracy, efficiency, quality and financial performance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversee Accounting Department activities, including ongoing balance sheet, P&L. cash flow and tax accounting, internal and external audits, and maintenance of general ledger.

Oversee Finance Department's activities including month-end closing.

Oversee Treasury functions, including daily flow of funds, management of cash accounts, investments, debt, accounts payable, accounts receivable and maintain bank relationships.

Manage relationships with external vendors and evaluate proposals.

Ensure compliance with internal and external requirements.

Provide accounting policy for new staff.

Assist Accounting Department management as needed.

Work with team members to continuously improve efficiency and results.

Maintain a documented system of account policies and procedures.

Other Requirements and Responsibilities:

Better than average written and spoken communication skills.

Advanced accounting and finance, budgeting and cost control.

File management.

Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management.

Ability to promote and participate in team environment.

Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Initiative in identifying and resolving problems timely and effectively.

Education and Experience Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

CPA

5+ plus years of experience in an accounting management role within a company with annual sales in excess of 20M.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).

Previous accounting experiences within a renovation company a plus.

Previous experience with QuickBooks accounting a must.

Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles.

Strong ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections as needed
