Seeking Skilled Freelance Handymen
- must be in good physical health
- must be available on short notice
- must be able to work unsupervised on assigned projects
- must be able to operate most power tools
- must be able to lift 50-60 pounds on a consistent basis
- must supply own basic tools, equipment and pickup truck
- must be able to provide valid character and job references
Minimum requirement:
A - must have at least 5 years experience doing general carpentry and maintenance work
B - must have basic skills in:
- floor cover installation and cleaning
- painting and wall papering
- carpentry and wood structure framing
- plumbing and faucet repair
- electrical and light fixture repair
- cabinet and counter assembly
- window and door installation
C - should have basic skills in:
- demolition and thrash removal
- landscaping and ground keeping
- concrete work
- rock wall installation
- security system installation
- electronic and computer repair
- heating, ventilation, and air conditioning experience
D - should have expertise in at least five (5) of above basic skills
E - should have knowledge of material cost with ability to provide sound job estimates
COMPENSATION:
A - Hourly-Rate Plan
$28 - $50 per hour
B - Flat-Rate Plan plus bonus
$100 - $240 per day
$500 - $1,200 per week
C - Bonuses:
-$500.00 Hiring Sign-Up Bonus
-10% of employee's project earnings for on-time completion of contract jobs.
- 5% of project cost for keeping overall total 15% below
budgeted estimate of contract jobs.
D - Referral Fees:
- $50 per job estimate submitted whether or not approved or;
- $100 or 3% of project's total job estimate, whichever is greater,
- Available only to active employees and/or freelancers.
