Analyzes production and finished product samples to determine product quality and safety
Documents analytical results and lab activities including but not limited to food safety, product quality, housekeeping and hazardous waste generation
Reviews in-process and finished product analytical data for completion, accuracy and quality/food safety implications
Communicates interdepartmentally, regarding lab activities, analytical data, product quality and food safety
Enters analytical data into Lab Information Management System
Assists with daily housekeeping duties
Performs basic instrument maintenance and repair
Reports product quality or food safety issues to QA
Understands their role in food safety and quality systems, actively participates in food safety efforts and ensures all activities conform to good manufacturing practices.
Minimum Job Requirements
High school diploma
Basic math skills
Basic computer skills
Education/Training
High school diploma; Bachelor’s degree in science related field is preferred
Continuing education classes, certificate or degree in a science related field or at least one year of experience in a science related field
