Corporate Security Officer

As a Corporate Security Officer at Wellmark, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of company assets, facilities, and personnel. In this position, you will lead security operations through conducting advanced patrols, actively monitoring security systems, and responding to incidents with a high degree of independence, judgment, and decisiveness. Serving as a strong and highly visible presence on-site, you will help deter potential threats while fostering a secure environment for employees, visitors, and stakeholders. You will also take ownership of assessing risk, identifying vulnerabilities, and supporting complex incident and emergency response efforts. In this role, you will collaborate closely with internal teams, guide less experienced security staff when needed, and partner with external emergency personnel to maintain operational readiness and uphold company security standards.The ideal candidate is a seasoned security professional with significant experience in corporate security, law enforcement, military service, or a related protective services field. You bring deep expertise in risk assessment, incident command, and emergency response, with the ability to think strategically and exercise sound judgment in dynamic, high-pressure situations. You demonstrate advanced conflict resolution and de-escalation capabilities, along with strong communication skills that allow you to influence and effectively coordinate across stakeholders. A high level of professionalism, discretion, and accountability is essential when handling sensitive security matters. You are proficient in defensive tactics, emergency medical protocols (such as TCCC/TECC and AED operation), and modern security technologies. Advanced certifications such as Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or Axon certification (or the ability to obtain) are strongly preferred. You are a trusted leader and subject matter resource who thrives in complex environments and is committed to continuously strengthening organizational security.
