Corporate Security Specialist

As a Corporate Security Specialist at Wellmark, you will play an important role in supporting the safety and security of company assets, facilities, and personnel. In this position, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor security systems, and respond to incidents with a calm and professional approach. Serving as a visible on-site presence, you will help deter potential threats while contributing to a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and stakeholders. You will work closely with other members of the security team and partner with internal departments and external emergency personnel to support day-to-day security operations and response efforts.The ideal candidate has experience in corporate security, law enforcement, and/or military service. You bring a basic understanding of security operations, incident response, and risk awareness, along with the ability to remain composed and follow established procedures in high-pressure situations. You demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, and have at least foundational expefrience in conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques. Professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion are essential. Familiarity with security technologies, defensive tactics, and emergency medical protocols (such as AED use) is beneficial, with training and certification opportunities provided.
