Centerboard’s Youth Service Campus is looking for dedicated evening and overnight Direct Care Staff who are ready to be a cornerstone of our vibrant team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in providing compassionate care, guidance, and support to the youth we serve, all while helping to foster a safe, structured, and trauma-informed environment.

What You'll Do:

Create a Safe Haven: Help maintain a nurturing environment by providing supervised support for youth, ensuring their daily needs are met and their well-being is prioritized.

Document and Reflect: Track and document daily interactions, incidents, and progress notes, ensuring accurate and timely records for each resident.

Engage Actively: Participate in various activities and interactions, from group meetings to individual advocacy, to help residents build healthier coping skills and achieve their treatment goals.

Foster Healthy Relationships: Build and sustain positive interactions with residents, colleagues, and other stakeholders, contributing to a supportive and collaborative community.

Essential Responsibilities:

Keep Detailed Records: Document everything from shift progress to incident reports and resident interactions, ensuring comprehensive and accurate logs.

Respond to Crises: Utilize learned Behavior Management Techniques to handle crisis situations effectively and maintain safety and security in the absence of a supervisor.

Advocate and Support: Provide advocacy through meetings, reviews, and treatment plans, ensuring residents' voices are heard and their needs are addressed.

Teach Life Skills: Assist with daily living activities, including transportation, medical appointments, and life skills development, helping residents navigate their journey toward independence.

Your Role in Our Community:

Meal Preparation: Cook and prepare nutritious meals for residents, ensuring their dietary needs are met.

Facility Management: Oversee the cleanliness and orderliness of the facility, from common areas to resident rooms, ensuring a pleasant and hygienic environment.

Transport and Supervision: Provide transportation and accompany youth to various appointments and field trips, ensuring their safety and engagement.

Night Shift Specifics:

Continuous Monitoring: Conduct 15-minute checks on residents throughout the night, maintaining vigilance and security.

Facility Upkeep: Clean and maintain common areas, ensuring a tidy and organized environment.

Stay Alert: Remain awake throughout the shift to ensure constant supervision and support for residents.
