ResponsibilitiesAs an active member of the Chelsea Multispecialty clinic, the RN will provide culturally sensitive, age-specific population-based nursing care both in clinic and via telephone to support the Urology and UroGynecology practices.This position will support the annual time off coverage of the clinic RNs and overall support of the clinic nursing schedule, provider procedure support, and inbasket management.This support includes pre and post procedure management, symptom management, troubleshooting, patient education needs, bladder chemotherapy/biotherapy administration, medication administration, surgery coordination, etc.Documentation of nursing care will be completed using MiChart (EPIC) and will be accurate and efficient using SBAR or SOAP formats if not using smartforms.Supporting the mission and philosophy of the department and the organization is essential to providing safe and appropriate care to our patients.Maintaining a strong knowledge-base and use of internal and external resources available to provide care is expected.The RN is an integral member of a highly collaborative team including physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, medical assistants, and administrative support staff.Expectations

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan Medicine

Minimally three (3) years of RN experience with at least 1 year of adult medical/surgical Urology

NOTE: In order to be considered for this position the applicant must have met or will have met all the required qualifications prior to the start date of employment.RESUME REQUIRED (for both internal & external applicants). You must attach a complete and accurate resume to be fully considered for this position.Desired Qualifications

Knowledge and experience with telehealth: triage, use of EPIC, protocols, etc.

Experience with ambulatory adult Urology and/or UroGynecology populations

Experience with urologic procedures e.g. urodynamics, SP tube changes, bladder instillations, Botox preparation, vasectomies, cystoscopies, etc.

Work ScheduleHours/Week: 20 hours/week or 40 hours per 2 week pay period. This is a job sharing role with another 20 hour/week RN.Shift/Hours/Days:

Day Shift: Monday-Friday. (Saturday expectation would occur if patient demands require additional days in the future)

8 Hour days (base schedule: Week 1=16 hours; week 2=24 hours) may be variable (based on patient and volume needs)

Location:

Chelsea Multispecialty Clinic (Urology and Surgical Gynecology), Chelsea, MI

Hybrid work may occur (beyond the orientation period) based on clinic need and onsite commitment requirements
