Lead origination of global markets opportunities for US Prime Finance/D1 group, including driving dialogue and building relationships with clients, delivering subject matter expertise, cross-selling non-prime capabilities in coordination with other Nomura desks, and other development activities. Leverage client wallet share data and lead research on prospective new client opportunities. Lead the development of thematic/hedging custom baskets based on clients’ interests and risk exposure, and create transactional content to highlight D1 opportunities. Guide junior analysts in developing new product enhancements/business development based on specific and commercial client feedback/opportunity by means of proactive interactions with internal stakeholders. Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Business or Finance with concentration in Business, plus 1 year of experience as an Analyst or Associate at an investment bank.All required experience must have included creating and analyzing equity custom baskets and creating marketing materials on custom baskets using understanding of cash and synthetic prime brokerage, total return swaps, portfolio swaps, including material economic terms, trade capture, valuation, settlement, margin, risk, and general position lifecycle management; researching and understanding investor landscape, including broker dealers, hedge funds, asset managers, pensions, endowments and insurance companies and how their needs or demands may differ; applying knowledge of traditional style risk factors and other systematic factors, and of swap and OTC related regulations (Dodd Frank, Uncleared Margin Rules, SBS vs CFTC scoping and implications); using Bloomberg functions for equities, including custom baskets and custom and third-party indices; working with Wolfe Risk Dashboard or Bloomberg Port, third-party calc agent platforms (including Markit Eclipse/Sola), content distribution vendor platforms (such as StreetContxt), Microsoft Office Suite (Excel and PowerPoint), and streetwide vendors for client-related data and wallet share metrics (including Convergence, Radiant, Coalition, Maclagan).FINRA Series 7 (or 7TO), SIE, and Series 63 certifications required.Position requires approximately 5% domestic travel. This role entails hybrid work, with time split between working in our New York, NY office and flexibility to telecommute from another U.S. location.Minimum Salary: 180,000
