Pies ’n’ Thighs, a beloved Southern comfort institution founded in Williamsburg, is opening a brand-new store in Park Slope, and we’re hiring a strong, hands-on Bakery Production Manager to build and lead the pastry team from day one.

This role is focused on consistent execution, team leadership, and establishing systems — with LIMITED creativity initially as the new store ramps up.

If you’re a confident leader who knows how to motivate teams, coach people up, and keep production running smoothly, this is a great fit.

What You’ll Do:

Lead daily pastry production for our new Brooklyn store

Produce donuts, pies, and pastries using established recipes

Build, train, and supervise a small pastry team

Create a positive, accountable, collaborative team culture

Maintain consistent quality, portioning, and presentation

Manage inventory, ordering, sanitation, and DOH standards

Set up systems, routines, and structure for a brand-new operation

Support occasional seasonal updates or small creative contributions (limited)

Who Thrives in This Role:

3+ years of pastry/bakery production experience (scratch preferred)

2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience (Shift Lead, Bakery Supervisor, Head Baker, Production Manager, etc.)

A leader who can motivate, grow, and manage people — not just bake

Someone who enjoys building systems teams can follow

Reliable, organized, calm under pressure

Early morning availability: weekends as needed

NYC Food Handler Certificate (or willing to obtain)

Compensation & Benefits Include:

$70,000–$80,000 salary (Depending on Experience)

Health insurance available beginning 1/1

Two weeks PTO

Equity potential as we expand

Shift meals + supportive culture

Opportunity to build something from the ground up in a new store
