Overview

We are seeking dedicated and skilled Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) to join our medical team. This role involves performing routine to moderately complex clinical laboratory tests crucial for diagnosing and treating diseases across our network of partner hospitals.

Responsibilities

- Perform standard clinical laboratory tests efficiently under supervision to obtain data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

- Refer complex technical or procedural problems and unusual results to the appropriate Medical Technologist or supervisor.

- Perform routine instrument maintenance and calibration checks.

- Follow established laboratory policies and procedures to ensure quality control and accurate results.

- Communicate quickly with nursing units or supervisors to resolve basic specimen collection or handling issues.

Requirements & Skills

- Education: An Associate's degree from an accredited Medical Laboratory Technician program or equivalent education and training as defined by CLIA regulations is required.

- Experience: Completion of an accredited MLT clinical internship is required. Prior experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred.

- Licenses/Certification: ASCP board certified as an MLT, or equivalent certification (e.g., AMT).

- Technical Skills: General knowledge of basic laboratory disciplines including routine chemistry, hematology, serology, and phlebotomy.

- Operational Skills: Ability to follow established testing procedures accurately and prioritize tasks to meet required turn-around-times.

Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, follow instructions, and communicate clearly regarding test results and issues.
