Our busy and well-established Personal Injury law firm in Southern Brooklyn is seeking an experienced Medical Records & IME Paralegal to join our growing team. We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive, and organized professional with 1–5 years of Personal Injury experience, specifically in handling medical records, IMEs, and treatment coordination.
This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a high level of accuracy. Spanish fluency is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
Request, track, and obtain medical records from providers, hospitals, and facilities
Review records for completeness, treatment gaps, and case development
Organize and upload medical documentation into the case management system
Calendar and coordinate Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs)
Communicate with clients regarding treatment status, appointments, and medical needs
Prepare IME letters, notices, and follow-up correspondence
Monitor deadlines for No-Fault IMEs, EUOs, and carrier requests
Liaise with insurance adjusters, medical offices, and attorneys
Maintain accurate notes and ensure all case information is up to date
What We’re Looking For
1–5 years Personal Injury experience (Medical Records, IME coordination, or No-Fault experience preferred)
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to handle a high volume of cases with accuracy
Professional, dependable, and client-service oriented
Comfortable with phones, calendars, and digital case-management systems
Spanish language skills are a plus
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $50,000–$60,000, based on experience
