About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Compliance Officer in Fair Lending within the Horizontal Compliance Program who will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and oversight of a risk-based, independent enterprise Fair Lending program to ensure compliance with Fair Lending laws, rules, and regulations and the WFC Fair Lending policy. Build out a Fair Lending program to include oversight and monitoring of business group risk-based compliance programs specific to mitigating potential discrimination in non-lending products and services.

Provide strategic direction for the overall Fair Lending program to strengthen risk management including alignment with regulatory risk management expectations.

Provide oversight and monitoring of business group risk-based compliance programs specific to discrimination in lending and non-lending products and services. Report findings and make recommendations to management and appropriate committees.

Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development.

Establish, implement, and maintain risk standards and programs to drive compliance with federal, state, agency, legal and regulatory and Corporate Policy requirements.

Oversee the Front Line’s execution and challenges appropriately on compliance related decisions. Interface with Audit, Legal, external agencies, and regulatory bodies on risk related topics.

Develop, oversee, and provide independent credible challenge to standards with subject matter expertise. Work with complex business units, rules and regulations on moderate to high-risk compliance matters.

Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.

Report findings and make recommendations to management and appropriate committees.

Required Qualifications:

7+ years of Compliance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

Extensive understanding of the customer discrimination laws as they are applicable to lending and non-lending products and services.

Regulatory experience such as having recently focused on consumer compliance in large banks at a regulatory agency or worked directly with regulators to drive large bank compliance risk management with a deep regulatory knowledge of consumer practices and related regulations and requirements.

Ability to work with project managers and business partners to design and establish oversight processes for newly developed programs or requirements.

Ability to work with complex business and/or special programs; providing compliance and risk expertise and consulting for special projects and initiatives with high risk to identify and mitigate fair lending and banking risk.

Ability to prepare associated fair lending and banking related reports as needed.

Experience monitoring status of fair lending and banking reviews in progress and those completed along with any associated corrective actions.

Ability to collaborate with key Fair Lending Program stakeholders.

Strong, clear, and concise written and oral communication skills.

Ability to simultaneously lead multiple projects.

Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change.

Pay RangeReflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location.
