Position Overview:
The Hookah Lounge Server is responsible for providing exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere for guests. This role involves taking food, beverage, and hookah orders, preparing and setting up hookahs, maintaining clean and organized sections, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience throughout their visit.
Key Responsibilities
Greet guests promptly and courteously; provide menu information and recommendations.
Take and process orders for food, drinks, and hookahs accurately.
Prepare, set up, and maintain hookahs, including packing bowls, managing charcoal, and ensuring smooth function and flavor quality.
Monitor guests’ hookahs and proactively replace coals or adjust setups as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, lounge areas, and hookah stations.
Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, including proper handling of coals and hookah equipment.
Handle cash and card transactions accurately and responsibly.
Build rapport with guests and contribute to a fun, relaxed, and upscale lounge environment.
Assist in opening and closing duties, such as restocking supplies, cleaning hookahs, and setting up for the next shift.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a lounge, bar, or restaurant setting preferred.
Knowledge of hookah flavors, preparation techniques, and safety practices is a plus (training may be provided).
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, social environment.
Responsible, reliable, and team-oriented.
Must be at least 21+ depending.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Lift and carry up to 30 lbs (e.g., hookahs, charcoal trays, supplies).
Comfortable working around smoke and in dim lighting.
Compensation
Hourly wage + tips
