Mechanical Engineer

As a Mechanical Engineer for IQSIGHT LLC, you will design and develop complex electromechanical systems for next generation moving camera products.  You will serve as a technical resource on development projects, making critical architecture, design and risk decisions.Strategic:Perform hands on mechanical and electromechanical subsystem design from concept through series productionAct as engineer on development projects, working on a small team and driving technical executionDevelop subsystem architectures that meet system-level requirements for performance, cost reliability, serviceability and time-to-marketParticipate in cross-functional design review and technical risk assessments (FMEA, Focus Area Matrices)Work with senior technical staff in developing key architectures for the future of the portfolioOperational:Support lifecycle management efforts including EOL, cost down, and field complaint investigationsMaintain complex BOM structures supporting multiple product variantsPartner with international suppliers on tooling development, DFM reviews, and process validationWork in a culture of continuous improvement with regular retrospectivesSupport team in risk management and mitigation strategiesDesign, model, and validate complex mechanical assemblies and mechanismsSupport PCBA packaging, enclosure design, and thermal management strategiesDevelop and validate prototypes through simulation and physical testingPerform tolerance analysis, GD&T definition, and design for manufacturability and reliabilityImplement designs considering global environment, regulatory and compliance requirementsPeople:Mentor and support the development of early-career engineersCollaborate cross-functionally to ensure system-level integration and successWho You Are:Success in this role requires a system thinking approach and rigorous attention to detail.
