We are looking for a Senior IP Analyst to join the IP Admin Team. In this role, you will use your patent and trademark experience to help build and deliver various administrative service offerings. The Senior IP Analyst will be responsible for processing incoming and outgoing USPTO and foreign communications in docketing databases; filing with USPTO; working with foreign agents; contact with clients on an as needed basis; and other tasks as needed.About you - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments
2+ combined experience in IP Docketing and/or Paralegal services
2+ years of experience working with Intellectual Property law and regulations
Associates Degree in a related field or equivalent relevant work experience
Experience using FoundationIP (IP Management Solution)It would be great if you also had
Bachelor's degree in a related field
5+ years of experience working in a Patent docketing or paralegal roleWhat you will be doing in this role?
Process routine communications received from the USPTO and foreign patent offices.
Update client docket programs; document management systems; etc.
Calculate, review, and confirm the correct deadlines for response.
Create matter records in databases and docket programs and make updates accordingly.
Interact with staff members in Global offices regarding instructions and training.
Communicate with Global colleagues and clients via e-mail, video conferencing, and telephone.
Build client relationships and conduct on-going client management.
Prepare and review PTO documents for processing, as needed.
Assist with on-boarding new clients and assisting with development of best practices.
Develop and maintain knowledge of Patent Office Rules and Procedures (US and Foreign).
Prepare and assist with filing patent applications; Office Action responses; Information Disclosure Statement submissions; etc., as requested.
Prepare formal documents, forward for signature, and file with various patent offices.
Review Office Actions - and other PTO communications - and prepare preliminary shell Response drafts as requested.
Correspond with clients regarding the status of applications.
Calculate estimates of filing costs.
Monitor client docket for any due dates.
Obtain copies of patents and articles for IDS submission.
Communicate with patent examiners and other Patent-Office personnel regarding routine matters as directed.
Develop and document client procedures with a focus on process improvements.
Develop, document, and implement new procedures for daily workflow.About the Team
