The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is seeking an Academic Program Coordinator - Intermediate Support. This position will be a split administrative support position between the department and a faculty member's DARPA grant. This position will share duties with another Undergraduate Staff Assistant splitting approx. 2000 undergraduates of Computer Science, Computer Engineering and Data Science (and growing). (50%) T

he Security of Software (SoS) lab of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering is seeking a research project admin to organize project activities for a multi-institutional DoD grant. This person will organize project team meetings and workshops, coordinate with participating institutions for project deliverables and generate monthly financial and technical reports to DoD, manage project-related travels for Penn State PIs and students, and other administrative support to the project. (50%)Responsibilities:Routine office duties for the undergraduate side will include typing and sending email and written correspondence; filing; copying, shredding; maintaining pertinent materials on hand; scheduling appointments; and organizing promotional events.More detailed duties include reserving classrooms; rescheduling exams; entering grades and co-op reports; updating course books; ordering regalia; and scheduling evening exams with faculty.On the Research side, this position must be able to generate monthly financial and technical reports for DoD.Perform basic bookkeeping tasks, record and submit financial transactions, and implement procedures in line with COE Finance/Research office policies.Establish and maintain electronic files, contacts, and lab directories to include post docs, students and PI's.Order and maintain office supplies for labs to include cleaning schedules.Minimum requirements for this position include a high school diploma and 2 or more years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as the ability to multi-task and work both independently and in a team-oriented environment are essential.
