We are looking for a full-time veterinary technician. Working 4 days a week (7:15am-5:30pm) and rotating Saturdays (7:30am-12:00pm) with 1-2 weekend kennels a month (Kennels are Sat PM and Sun AM/PM).
Established in 1978, Capital Veterinary Clinic is a small animal, appointment-based clinic conveniently located in the heart of South Austin. We are looking for someone who wants to work with animals, learn new skills, and grow as a part of a close knit team. The ideal candidate is compassionate, team-oriented, loves animals, has great communication skills, and is not afraid to ask questions.
Experience in the veterinary field is not required. This is an ideal position for someone who does not have experience and is interested in getting into the veterinary field.
Our technicians support veterinarians with exams, client communication, and treatment. Duties include but not limited to: holding/restraint, clean up duties throughout the day, rooming patients, obtaining medical history, obtaining and processing samples, as well as caring for hospitalized patients and boarders.
After 90 days, full-time employees are eligible for health, dental, and vision insurance as well as a uniform allowance.
