Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk in Houston, Texas. This role is set in a traditional office environment within the legal industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive data entry skills and familiarity with QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, and other traditional office software.Responsibilities: Review and process a high volume of vendor invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and procedures Obtain necessary approvals for invoices and expense reports Enter invoice data into the accounting system and ensure accurate and timely payment to vendors Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on any discrepancies or outstanding payments Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner Maintain accurate and complete accounts payable records and ensure compliance with internal controls and audit requirements Assist with month-end close processes and other ad-hoc financial reporting as needed Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently Maintain accurate customer credit records Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.Requirements Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) is required Experience in Check Runs is a must Familiarity with Coding Invoices is necessary Strong skills in Data Entry are required Experience in Invoice Processing is essential Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must Knowledge of QuickBooks is required.
