This position is to provide reliable, quality customer service through on-site inspections and preventive maintenance services on backflow preventors and automatic fire sprinkler systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Perform routine inspections, testing and preventive maintenance of automatic fire sprinkler systems and backflow preventers, working with other team members and sometimes alone with minimal supervision
o Communicating with customers on findings after testing has been completed
o Diagnose and evaluate systems that require servicing as well as troubleshoot issues that arise during inspections
o Provide solutions and/or recommendations to bring systems back in operating working condition.
o Filing reports in a 3rd party database or on local forms using our specialized software
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
NICET Level II - Must have or very close to 4000 hours working on sprinkler systems
Strong working knowledge of life safety and NFPA codes
Possess the required license for the local office is preferred
Working knowledge of fire sprinkler and backflow preventers
Working knowledge of alarm panels, devices and components
Possess a valid driver’s license with an insurable record
Able to complete documentation as necessary; proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft documents
Willing to coordinate between inspection deficiencies and service required to correct found deficiencies
Prepared to read and write English clearly
Capability to present information and respond to questions from managers, customers & AHJ's (Authorities Having Jurisdiction)
Willing to pass post-offer drug screen, background and reference check
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift up to 50lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
Regular bending, reaching, climbing and walking
This position has a salary range of $62k-$100k per year depending on experience.
