Summary Description:
The Assistant Home Warranty Service Technician is responsible for providing support to the Service Manager in all the daily activities of the Dyna Builders’ Service Department. Must have 5 years' experience working in residential construction.
Essential Functions/Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists with warranty work and maintenance requests, small projects, and close outs of larger projects.
Installs new products and tests them to ensure they are working correctly.
Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
Effectively communicates with clients, internal staff, and subcontractors.
Maintains inventory of all company owned or operated equipment and tools.
Coordinates work required for completion.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
Highly organized, able to prioritize and juggle multiple tasks.
Experience working in a similar role, preferably in residential construction.
Demonstrated good judgement.
Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
Creative problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and communication skills.
Ability to adapt to Dyna’s dynamic situations and personalities.
Capability to plan and organize time and resources efficiently even under the pressure of multiple demands.
Location and Transportation:
Dyna job sites are typically in and around the Seattle area and the Eastside. You must have reliable transportation.
Must have valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Physical Requirements:
Visually or otherwise identify, observe, and assess distance, color, and depth. Required to regularly communicate with others and exchange accurate information.
Able to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment.
Frequently move up to 25lbs and occasionally move up to 50lbs. Must be able to work within different temperature changes, indoors to outdoors, between sites and working around equipment/machines; occasionally ascend/descend a ladder or stairs as required.
PPE for this position includes safety glasses, hearing protection, slip resistant/closed-toed or steel-toed shoes, gloves, and safety vests.
