Sr. Accountant

Description We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Burbank, California. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for various accounting tasks such as bank reconciliations, year-end audit assistance, and analysis. You will also be expected to work with Oracle and Microsoft Excel, utilizing features like pivot tables and vlook ups. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Utilize Oracle for a range of accounting tasks. Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records. Assist in year-end audits, providing necessary data and reports. Perform analysis of financial data for insights and reporting. Use Microsoft Excel for data management and manipulation, including the use of pivot tables and vlook ups. Handle balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries as part of month-end close processes. Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger. Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. Provide onsite training and adopt a hybrid work model post-training. Adhere to a 9/80 work schedule. Requirements Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field Minimum five years of experience in a similar role Extensive knowledge and experience with Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations Proficiency in managing General Ledger and Journal Entries Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Experience in handling Month End Close activities Familiarity with Oracle or similar financial systems Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Proven ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
