Description We are in search of a detail-oriented Accounting Manager/Supervisor for our team in Chatsworth, California, United States. This role involves managing revenue transactions, ensuring compliance with the Company's revenue recognition policy, and overseeing the monthly close on revenue accounting. The successful applicant will also be tasked with maintaining internal controls and enhancing existing processes.Responsibilities: Collaborate with various teams to ensure all revenue transactions align with the Company's revenue recognition policy Engage in contract discussions, provide recommendations for recognition in accordance with relevant accounting literature and the Company's Revenue Recognition Policy Review revenue contracts to identify performance obligations and determine appropriate revenue accounting treatment under current revenue recognition rules per ASC 606 Calculate estimated standalone selling price for various performance obligations Allocate total contract consideration to multiple performance obligations based on the relative values using the standalone selling price Draft accounting memos to document the Company's accounting positions and work with external auditors to ensure revenue recognition interpretations comply with GAAP Prepare journal entries for monthly close on revenue accounting to ensure proper accrual or deferral of revenue as necessary Coordinate with the Company's international entities team to ensure proper recognition of the Company's revenue and cost and timely reporting Maintain and update internal controls, policies and procedures documentation for revenue recognition, and support internal audits of related controls Support all revenue recognition disclosures in all financial reporting requirements Create detailed revenue reporting for management purposes and other process and control improvements as required Provide revenue recognition guidance and training to various teams at international and domestic locations throughout the yearRequirements Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Accounting Manager/Supervisor or similar role Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions Ability to manage all Accounting Functions Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience in Auditing Proficiency in managing Billing Functions Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred Excellent leadership and team management skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting CPA certification is a plus.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
